About this event
Rosson Richardson had been riding since he was ten when a day on a Triumph Tiger in 2005 pointed him at dirt. He went and trained at an adventure riding school, and a week later they asked him to come back and teach. He founded Austin Moto Adventures in the autumn of 2022 on the back of that, and this is the rally he throws on the ranch.
It is a purpose-built training property on county road west of Burnet, an hour out of Austin, in the part of the Hill Country where the roads wind between granite and limestone. Gates open noon Thursday. Factory demo trucks, guided rides on the property and out into the hills, clinics run by people who do this for a living, a skills course, slow races, vendor row, food trucks and a fire to sit round.
New for 2026 is the Trail Boss 250: two hundred and fifty miles of gravel, tarmac and one river crossing, six in the morning to six at night, marshals at the checkpoints to prove you did it. Finish and you get a shirt and the track.
