14th Annual Wailing Wayne Weekend
Wednesday, September 8, 2027 · 9 AM · Nelsonville, Ohio
About this event
Everyone reads this name as a memorial. It is not. Wayne is the national forest, and the wailing is an engine - the host, Chad Warner, bought an adventure bike in 2014, went exploring the trails of the Wayne, and named the rally he built out of it after the noise his machine made in the trees.
It is also not a weekend. It runs five days, Wednesday to Sunday, out of Nelsonville in south-east Ohio between the Wayne National Forest and the Hocking Hills. Three menus run in parallel and a rider picks an appetite: roughly a hundred and thirty miles of forest trail, or county gravel, or pavement - and the pavement here includes Ohio 555, the Triple Nickel, and the Windy 9.
The dirt days are real dirt. This is adventure and dual-sport territory, not a cruise.
