Worth knowing before it goes in the diary: this is not a charity ride. No cause is named and none is claimed. It is a costume bar-hop put on by THIGHBRUSH, an apparel company whose shop sits in the same complex as the bar the ride leaves from, and its purpose is to sell shirts.
The brand was started in September 2017 by Benjamin and Lynnette Scheier and trades on adult humour — its own about page calls its products sometimes offensive, and the name itself is a crude joke. That is the house style, it is aimed squarely at bikers, and a rider who would rather not spend a Saturday inside it is better off knowing now than finding out at the first stop.
Taken as what it is, it is a straightforward social day: breakfast at the start, kickstands up mid-morning, a short circuit of east Mesa bars and back to the first one for the football. Non-riders can drive it. Costumes are the whole point.
Flat urban riding, no scenery to speak of, and a crowd that has mostly done it before.
