Sons of American Legion Car & Bike Show

About this event
A one-day community show at an American Legion post in Chandler, run by the Sons of the American Legion and now approaching its tenth year. Classic cars, custom builds and motorcycles are shown together on the post grounds through the morning and early afternoon. It is a local event rather than a rally — no camping, no stages, no vendor rows — and roughly half of what is parked up will be on four wheels. That is worth knowing before you ride across the valley for it. What you get instead is the kind of show where the people standing next to the bikes built them, and where the entry money goes to the post's veterans programmes. Registration is handled online ahead of the day. Late October is when Phoenix becomes pleasant again, and a show that finishes early leaves most of the day for the roads out toward the Superstitions.
