About this event
A women-only riding weekend on the shore of Odell Lake, in the pine country of the Deschutes National Forest. It is run by Babes Ride Out, who have been putting on events like this since 2013 with a stated purpose that is unusually plain: turning people who know each other from the internet into people who know each other in person. The programme is built around riding and making things rather than drinking. Recent editions have carried a Jessi Combs Foundation bike show, Harley-Davidson demo rides, tyre and safety sessions, a full guided ride day, and workshops running to tattooing, jewellery, helmet painting and chainstitching. There is a Furthest Rider award, a Saturday dance, and massage bookings for anyone who arrived the hard way. Eighteen and over, women only, with ID checked. General admission includes a camping space beside one motorcycle; cabins and private sites cost more and sell out early. No pets, no children, no weapons.
