7th Annual Christmas Box House Back to School 2027 Fundraiser

About this event
A charity named after a novel is unusual. This one is named after its founder's own novel.
Richard Paul Evans wrote The Christmas Box, and in 1996 he put the name and the proceeds behind The Christmas Box International, which runs emergency shelters for children who have been abused, neglected, trafficked or left with nowhere to go. The houses are at Salt Lake City and Ogden. The charity also keeps resource rooms stocked with the ordinary things a child arriving at an hour's notice does not have, supports teenagers ageing out of foster care, and reckons on reaching some fourteen thousand children and young adults a year.
This is the August fundraiser, and the timing is the whole of it. School supplies have a deadline and it is the first day of term, so what the riders are buying is rucksacks and pencil cases.
Who organises it, what it costs, where it starts and what route it takes are not published anywhere the charity controls, so the edition number here is their count rather than ours. And there is no Christmas Box house in Magna — the town is where the fundraiser happens, not where the children are.
Is this your event? If anything here is wrong — the date, the town, the details — or you would like to add to it, tell us and we will fix it.
