2026 Howlin at the Moon Dual Sport Series
November 7–8, 2026 · 5:30 PM · Payson Elks Lodge, 1206 N Beeline Hwy · Payson, Arizona
About this event
Most dual-sport rallies hand you a GPS track log and wish you luck, which quietly excludes anyone riding alone or anyone who has never trusted a track log in the first place. For its seventeenth running, Arizona Trail Riders have added a guided B-level ride led by experienced club members for exactly those riders: a hundred and thirty dollars for both days, covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, the track logs and a gift.
The club is a non-profit founded in 1987 and one of the oldest dirt-bike clubs in the state, family-oriented by its own description. No founder is named on its material. This is a round of the AMA National Dual Sport Series, capped at two hundred riders, run rain or shine from the Elks Lodge on North Beeline Highway in Payson. AMA membership is required, or a two-day event pass.
The routes offer hard and easy choices throughout, so riders pick their own level and can ride one day or both. For scale, the previous edition ran roughly a hundred and twenty miles on the first day. There is a banquet and raffle on the Saturday evening. It suits street-legal dual-sports and big adventure bikes, novice through technical.
