Two Wheels to Heal Motorcycle Show

About this event
The name sounds like a charity and it is not one — it is simply what the afternoon is called. The money goes to the Atlanta chapter of the PTSD Foundation of America, which Gene Birdwell gave that name in 2008 and which runs Camp Hope outside Houston: room for 108 combat veterans at a time, free of charge, on a voluntary six to nine month peer-led recovery programme with chaplaincy and family support attached. It is led now by Chris Knight, a retired Army sergeant major. This is only the second year of the show — the first ran in November 2025 at the same dealership — so anyone expecting a long-standing institution should set expectations accordingly. It is held at Southern Devil Harley-Davidson on Highway 411, which dropped the Cartersville name in 2015 and took its new one from the scorpion common in the north Georgia hills. The dealership keeps live ones in aquariums on the showroom floor. Highway 411 puts you at the foot of the mountains, so the obvious shape of the day is the show first and the roads north afterwards.
