Suwanee Classic Car & Bike Show

About this event

The charity that runs this one was started by a schoolgirl. Lucy Evans began building Happyfeat in her sophomore year at North Gwinnett High after befriending a classmate named David and deciding that adults with special needs in her own town had nowhere near enough to do; her childhood friend Nicole Short came on full-time as programmes director in 2019, and the organisation now works out of Sugar Hill. The show is in its thirteenth year and what it raises goes back into those programmes. The setting is newer than the event: Town Center on Main opened in Suwanee in August 2024 on twenty-five acres the city had been holding since 2002, and it is built around a bridge that spans the park to link the library with a hilltop overlook. Registration is at eight, judging and the opening ceremony at ten, a veterans ceremony at one, and it is finished by two, with a performance from Happyfeat's own participants in between. Bikes are in the title and in the organiser's own description of the field; specific motorcycle classes are not published.
