The first South Region roundup for the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group — IMRG, the marque's network of local chapters — hosted by the Grand Junction chapter and based at a hotel in town. The format is refreshingly plain: two guided rides every day, one long and one short, plus mapped routes for anyone who would rather set their own pace. That is the whole event, give or take a meet-and-greet at registration and a catered wrap-up party on the final evening, which registration covers. What justifies it is where Grand Junction sits. Western Colorado puts high desert, canyon country and mountain passes within a day's loop of the same hotel, and September is the window when the high roads are open and the heat has gone out of the low ones. The host chapter states that riders of any brand are welcome, not only Indian owners.
