About this event
Held on the town square of a place that calls itself the folk music capital of the world, which means the live music is not rally dressing — it is what the town does anyway, and the rally simply joins in. Admission is free, the chamber of commerce runs it, and after more than twenty years it has settled into a shape: bike and car shows, a poker run out into the surrounding hills, biker games, a scavenger hunt across town, a beard contest and cornhole. A paid pass exists for reserved parking and front-row seats at the concerts. The organisers recently moved it out of high summer and into early autumn specifically to escape the heat, which is worth knowing if you gave up on it before. The riding is the reason to make the trip: Push Mountain Road and the Sylamore byway both run from here, and the Ozark country around them is among the best in the state.
