About this event
Held across more than a hundred acres at the Blackthorne Resort in East Durham, this is a proper festival rather than a street party — the whole thing happens on one site in the Catskills, and most people stay there for the duration. Music is the spine of it, with national headliners and regional acts across several days; past bills have included Puddle of Mudd, Trapt and Saliva. Around the stages run bike shows and build-offs, bike games, a purpose-built burnout pit, motocross stunt riding and a wall of death, plus a vendor expo and both indoor and outdoor bars. Organised runs head out into the mountain roads during the day. Camping and glamping are available on the grounds, and medical staff are on site around the clock. The Catskills themselves are the quiet argument for going: Route 23A, the reservoir roads and the passes west of Windham are all close by.
