Little Chad's 3rd Annual Fall Foliage Ride

About this event
A ride named after a child usually turns out to be a memorial. This one is not. Little Chad is a six-year-old who wears a Red Barn Riders junior patch — his father is the club's sergeant at arms, his grandfather its president — and he has been diagnosed with colitis. What the day raises goes to his family's medical bills and to the specialised diet he has to eat.
The Red Barn Riders formed in May 2017 in Medusa, New York, among people who rode motorcycles and worked on them out of a red barn, which is where the name comes from. They are a charity riding club rather than an MC, AMA-affiliated and registered as a 501(c)(3), covering Albany, Greene, Columbia and Schoharie counties. Their other standing ride supports a disabled boy named Nathan.
Riders gather at a general store on Route 145 and run the Greene County Catskills at the top of the colour, finishing over a raffle and a DJ. There is no set entry. It is a free-will offering, and you give what you think it was worth.
