Anchor Fest 3rd Annual at Savannah Harley-Davidson

About this event
A dealership cookout normally raises money for something with wheels. Anchor Fest sends what it takes to a stable.
The Equine Valor Project, over in Richmond Hill, was founded by Mike Pinatiello, a US Army veteran who was medically separated from the service and then went into behavioural health counselling. It runs free six-week programmes for military personnel, veterans and first responders carrying PTSD — groundwork with the horses first, riding later — and every session is led by a veteran or a first responder. There is no charge to take part and no funding beyond donations, which is where a Saturday at a Harley dealership comes in.
Rough Riders M/C organise it and Savannah Harley-Davidson on Fort Argyle Road hosts. Set your expectations accordingly: this is a short midday grill-out, not a rally. Burgers and hot dogs served until the food runs out, all of it going to the project, with no admission price and no route.
Worth an hour if you are local and you want the money to land somewhere unusual.
