ABATE of Iowa Freedom Rally 2026
November 5–8, 2026 · 10 AM · Algona, Iowa
About this event
ABATE of Iowa owns the ground this one is held on — a dedicated rally park outside Algona — which is unusual and shows in how the weekend is run. The organisation has put on the Freedom Rally for more than forty years. Fourteen bands play across the weekend. Around them run a bike show, a rodeo of biker games, a burnout pit with a cool-down contest, a tattoo competition, gator races, mud wrestling, a sled pull and fireworks. Food and merchandise vendors work the grounds, along with tattoo artists taking walk-ins. Tent and RV camping are both on site, and most people stay for the duration rather than commuting in. Riders come from across Iowa and the neighbouring states, with regulars arriving from western states and Canada. As with all ABATE events, the underlying purpose is motorcyclists' rights advocacy — the rally funds the work.
