The club's name will mislead you, and it is worth correcting before anyone turns up with the wrong expectations. The Pink Ladies of Lincoln are not a breast cancer charity. They put their money behind anyone in and around Lincoln facing a life-threatening illness — men, women and children alike — and their motto is the flat and unsentimental "No One Fights Alone!". They were established in March 2015 and reckon they have given back over three hundred and sixty-six thousand dollars since. The poker run is the motorcycle entry in a fundraising calendar that otherwise turns on darts, shuffleboard, trap and skeet and a golf scramble, which tells you something about the crowd running it. This is a bar-to-bar run rather than a touring day, and short: out of the Huskerville Pub and Pizza car park, finishing at Steve O's Lounge. Stops, times and the entry price are not published in advance, and payment is taken at check-in.
