29th Annual Beartooth Beemers Rendezvous
August 13–15, 2027 · 10 AM · Red Lodge, Montana
About this event
A rally pitched at the foot of the Beartooth Highway could coast on the road alone. Gary Smith built this one to do the opposite. He had been running riders' gatherings since the late sixties, and when he joined with the Montana BMW Riders around 1988 to charter the Beartooth Beemers as BMW MOA's 303rd club, it was largely so he could finally run a proper rally on his own terms. Chief among them: push riders into Red Lodge to spend their money in the town. Proceeds go back into the community, and the breakfasts pay for the Lions Club youth camp.
Fourteen members, four of whom organise the whole weekend. The Rendezvous sits ten miles south of Red Lodge at the Lions Beartooth Mountain Youth Camp, up Lake Fork Road off US 212, at six thousand eight hundred feet. A hundred dollars covers camping, three dinners and a decal; a bunk indoors is thirty. Beartooth Pass and the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway are both straight out of the gate.
What you are looking at is a field of tents at 6,800 feet, ringed by the Beartooths, with a hundred and fifty bikes parked among them.
