A one-day, unjudged gathering of old bikes at the Pecan Grove Store north of Fredericksburg, now in its tenth year. There are no classes, no trophies and no entry form — people ride in, park on the grass, and spend the day looking at each other's machines with a burger in hand. The on-site bike shop stays open through it. Admission is three cans of food or a cash donation to a local food bank, which sets the tone as well as anything could. Live music plays through the afternoon and there is food and drink on site. The Texas Hill Country is the other half of the appeal — the ranch roads out of Fredericksburg are among the best riding in the state, and a show that finishes mid-afternoon leaves you the light to use them. Not to be confused with the Texas Fandango, a separate and much larger vintage event held nearby in spring.
