Wingmen MC - Making Strides for Breast Cancer Poker Run

About this event

Most breast cancer poker runs are put together by a committee that forms for the occasion and disbands afterwards. This one comes from a chapter with a second fundraiser of its own. The Northwest Florida Wingmen MC run a scholarship poker run from the same forecourt — Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson on Beal Parkway carried the sixth edition of it on its own calendar — so the club's year has two of these in it rather than one. The Wingmen are older than their public footprint suggests: the club's trademark filing puts first use of the name at 1979, with chapters now scattered from Georgia to Missouri, and it registers its purpose in flat terms, promoting the interests of motorcycle riding. No founder's name is published and the club keeps very little online. The route is panhandle flatland, which is to say easy going: pine, inland bayous, the odd bridge, and the Gulf a few minutes south of the start. Neither the entry price nor the named beneficiary has been published for this edition, so anyone wanting either should ask at the dealership before setting off.
