We Salute You VIP Night - Veterans & Active Duty Party at Patriot Harley-Davidson
Friday, November 6, 2026 · Fairfax, Virginia
About this event
The same veterans' evening runs at several dealerships on the same night, and at most of them the name over the door is just a name. At this one it carries weight. Patriot Harley-Davidson's forecourt on Fairfax Boulevard is where the Ride of the Patriots forms up on Memorial Day morning before rolling into Washington to join Rolling Thunder, for the fallen and the missing. It was put together by Don Withrow, a Fairfax resident and former HOG director, with the dealership and the city; the first one drew about fifty bikes, and by the twentieth anniversary in 2018 the chapter's Bob Diehl put it close to five thousand riders from every branch of the service, the largest single group feeding into the parade. The store itself publishes no founder and no founding year; Paul Veracka's PVM Enterprises bought it in March 2023 from Sheehy Auto Stores, after roughly seven years in their hands. The chapter is Fairfax number 5395, directed by Tim Alexander. This November evening is the indoor, quiet version of the same thing: six until nine, free barbecue, and a showroom full of people who were out on that forecourt in May.
