Toys for Tots - Toy Drive & Charity Ride 2026

The ride is the short part. Rawhide's Toys for Tots day gets its kickstands up at half past ten and comes back to a chili cook-off, which in Olathe in November is the more serious business of the two.
The store is a long way from where the family started. The Verackas opened their first dealership in Brockton, Massachusetts, in the late 1970s under Dave Veracka; his son Michael came into the business in 2008 and partnered with the late Ed Lemco at the Grand Rapids store in Michigan, and in 2019 the group was split between the two brothers and their father. Olathe is Michael's end of it.
Ten dollars and one new toy to register in advance, fifteen on the day, and the invitation goes out to riders from across Kansas rather than only the Kansas City side of the line. Games, raffles and prizes follow, with the sensible caveat that the prizes will not come off the price of a motorcycle.
What it amounts to is a car park full of bikes and a row of chili pots, which is most of what a November Saturday needs.
