About this event
Most rallies leave you to sort out where you are sleeping. This one is held at the place you are sleeping — Painted Hills runs it themselves, on their own ground, which is why it stays small and why the weekend has the shape of a long stay rather than a day out.
Friday you check in from two, eat at five, then ride out to New Harmony to watch the sun go down off the back of the bike. Saturday is the poker run, staggered starts through the morning so nobody leaves in a pack, prizes and the raffle called at four, food trucks after that, then a vendor village and live music for as long as anyone wants it. Sunday is breakfast and goodbye.
Thirty dollars in, twenty if you are staying over, and that covers the shirt, the chip, a raffle ticket, dinner and the Friday ride.
The real argument is the map. Parowan sits up in the high desert with Cedar Breaks twenty-five miles away on Highway 148, and both Zion and Bryce close enough to reach before lunch.
