Northwoods Fall Ride in Tomahawk 2026

Forty-odd years in, and the Tomahawk ride is the oldest surviving piece of what has become a regional autumn event across northern Wisconsin. The town closes Main Street entirely and more than forty thousand people come through — a remarkable number for a place that calls itself the gateway to the Northwoods. Downtown holds an indoor motorcycle show, Harley-Davidson demo rides, live music and rows of food and merchandise vendors, with a raffle bike drawn at the end. Organised fun runs go out into the forest roads, and satellite venues spread the crowd — Bonnie and Clyde's Gangster Park at Harshaw, Holly's Bar with its party tent and campground, Castaways Bar and Grill. Admission is free. Camping is available at Maple Bear and at Holly's, and the lodges around the lakes take the overflow. The timing is deliberate: this is the weekend the Northwoods colour is normally at its best.
