Mayhem Motorcycle Rally - Bullhead River Run
April 21–25, 2027 · Bullhead City, Arizona
About this event
The Colorado River crossing at Bullhead City once hosted one of the largest motorcycle gatherings in the western United States, and then it did not — the old Laughlin run collapsed after 2002 and the traffic went elsewhere. Larry Topping, who owns Evolution Tattoo in town, started Mayhem in 2008 to bring it back on the Arizona side of the river.
What he built is not a straight copy. Mayhem is welded to a tattoo convention: more than sixty artists work the floor across four days, judged at the end of each day and again for best of show on the Saturday. Around that sit free nightly concerts from half six, live music from one in the afternoon, food trucks, vendors, and charity poker runs through the Moose Lodge and local military organisations.
It opens with a police-escorted ride along Bullhead Parkway to Mohave Crossroads, the mayor at the front of it. Base is Bullhead City Community Park.
This suits a rider who wants a town-centred long weekend and a crowd around the bike, rather than a mountain road and an early night.
