LCSO Benefit Ride for Special Olympics

Saturday, November 14, 2026 · 9 AM · Rockstar Harley-Davidson, 9501 Thunder Rd. · Fort Myers, Florida

About this event

Most law enforcement charity rides loop out and come back to where they started. This one does not come back. It leaves Rockstar Harley-Davidson on Thunder Road, registration at nine and away at eleven, and runs out across the causeway to Pine Island to finish at a saloon in St. James City — flat Gulf coast running at low speed with nothing in it to catch out a new rider, which makes it a reasonable first charity ride for anyone nervous about joining a pack. Lee County's law enforcement agencies put it on together with the Sheriff's Office, and it carries a longer name of its own: the Lee County Law Enforcement Benefit Ride. The money goes to Special Olympics Florida. Who started it, and in what year, is not published anywhere the organisers control, which is unusual for a ride this well attended. Thirty dollars for a rider and ten for a passenger, and in their own words, all bikes are welcome.
