Harley chapters are named for their city or their dealership. The one sponsored by this store is called the Illinois Route 66 Chapter, after the road outside the door: Joliet Road carries the historic alignment of Route 66 out of Chicago, so the chapter took its identity from the tarmac rather than from the trading name. The store itself is a merger. Ozzie and Jill Giglio built Windy City Motorcycle Company up from a single shop around the turn of the 2000s, though the group's own history and the trade press disagree by a year on exactly when. In 2010 it folded its Oak Lawn and Berwyn stores together and moved the combined business out to Countryside under the Illinois Harley-Davidson name. Giglio sold the whole seven-store group on to two new owners in September 2025, so the place has changed hands recently. Nobody has published what the toy drive collects for, or what happens on the day. Treat it as a drop-in at the dealership rather than a ride, and ring the store ahead if you want more than that out of it.
