Henderson County 29th Annual TOY RUN
Saturday, November 21, 2026 · 10 AM · Fletcher Community Park, 85 Howard Gap Rd · Fletcher, North Carolina
About this event
This run exists because a group of local riders wanted to change what people in Henderson County thought of motorcyclists. The county's own 2005 proclamation puts it in the committee's words, that they banded together to promote a positive image of motorcyclists through community support, and the toys followed from that rather than the other way round. It has run since 1998, organised by its own volunteer committee rather than a club or the sheriff's office, with Crystal Quinn chairing recent years alongside Sandra Mims. The toys go to abused, neglected and foster children through the county Department of Social Services. Riders gather from ten at Bill Moore Community Park on Howard Gap Road, the park Fletcher renamed, and leave at half past one on a twenty-four-mile route over Fanning Bridge, along 280 and Brickyard Road, onto 64 and down Main Street into Hendersonville. Twenty dollars or a toy worth fifteen, with a barbecue sandwich included. At about half two the riders carry the toys up the steps of the county courthouse. Six hundred and thirty rode it in 2023, on Harleys, Yamahas, Hondas and trikes.
