Gypsy Run 2026
September 25–26, 2026 · TBD · Narrowsburg, New York
About this event
Started in 2007 and back after a hiatus, the Gypsy Run is a deliberate reaction against the commercial rally. There are no classes to enter, no judging categories worth the name, and no gatekeeping about what you turn up on — organisers are explicit that any motorcycle and any rider is welcome. The shape of it: riders gather, are handed routes, and leave together for roughly 250 miles of Catskill backroads. It is not a race and organisers say so repeatedly — you ride your own pace and find the camp at the end of it. Base is a seventy-acre riverside campground on the Delaware, about ninety minutes out of Manhattan. Saturday is optional routes, field games — tire toss, tug of war, boat races — and a ride-in show where the awards go to things like highest mileage. There is a bar, tattoo artists and a DJ. Sunday is coffee and goodbyes.
