Gilmore Car Museum Vintage Motorcycle Show
September 12–13, 2026 · TBA · Hickory Corners, Michigan
About this event
The Gilmore is a ninety-acre museum campus of historic barns holding several hundred vehicles, and for this weekend the motorcycles take over. Your admission covers the whole museum as well as the show, which makes it decent value even if the weather turns. Saturday is the riding day: a twenty-mile run open to bikes twenty-five years old and up, minibike races, a swap meet, demonstrations and a band in the evening. Sunday is the judged show with awards, plus more minibike racing, a slow-crawl competition and — genuinely — a beard competition. A helmet auction runs in aid of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Entry as a participant covers both days, two admissions and one bike, with extra machines a few dollars each. Under tens and active military are free. It is an unusually well-run event of its type, helped by being staged by a museum rather than a promoter.
