Two decades in, and the rule that defines it has never moved: nothing built after nineteen-seventy gets into the show. That cutoff is the entire character of the thing — rats, rods, kustoms and old motorcycles, most of them running rather than restored, parked on fairground grass. Worth being straight about it being a mixed show, and a good share of what turns up has four wheels; riders come for the pre-war and post-war machinery and for the swap meet, which is large and is where the parts nobody lists online tend to surface. There is live music and food across both days, camping packages for anyone who would rather not ride home, and early entry for those who want the swap meet before it has been picked over. Spectating costs about the same as lunch. Lebanon sits half an hour east of Nashville, which makes it an easy addition to a longer trip.
