8th Annual Hideout Rally

The Hideout has been an Ozarks rally since 2018, when Macy Brooks started it on ground near Turner Bend — country the organisers say was one of the spots the Jesse James gang was reputed to swap out fresh horses. That is where the name comes from, and the setting is most of the appeal: this is Arkansas Highway 23 country, the Pig Trail, some of the best motorcycle road in the state.
It runs as an all-inclusive charity rally, which in practice means one ticket rather than a wallet-out weekend. Camping, live music, beer, barbecue, vendors, games and raffles are all part of the price. The organisers are firm that the money raised stays in the local area and goes to local causes, and they say that choice is deliberate — they describe the riding community as one of the most generous groups they have worked with.
Five days this year, Wednesday to Sunday. Bring camping gear and plan the ride in rather than straight up the interstate; the roads around it are the reason to come early.
