4th Annual Scooters for Hooters Poker Run
Saturday, October 10, 2026 · Leeds 6040 Barber Motorsports Pkwy · Tuscumbia, Alabama
About this event
A breast cancer awareness poker run in its fourth year, starting and finishing at the Harley-Davidson dealership on Highway 72 in Tuscumbia, with a morning departure and an after-party back at the dealership in the early afternoon. The reason to ride this one rather than any other poker run is where it is. The Natchez Trace Parkway crosses into Alabama in Colbert County, a few minutes from the start — thirty-three miles of the Trace's four hundred and thirty run through this corner of the state, and it is the smoothest, emptiest road you will find in the region. The Shoals area packs a lot in around it: the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Helen Keller's birthplace are both in Tuscumbia, Cane Creek Canyon and its waterfall are a short ride south, and the Rattlesnake Saloon is exactly as advertised. Autumn is the season people ride the Trace for, which is presumably why the date sits where it does.
