27th Annual Liberty H.O.G. Toy Run
Sunday, November 8, 2026 · 10 AM · Liberty Harley-Davidson, 12 W Milton Avenue · Rahway, New Jersey
About this event
Most toy runs end at a drop-off point. This one ends inside a hospital. The Liberty H.O.G. chapter rides from Rahway down to the Bristol Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick and hands the toys to paediatric inpatients, with Santa and Mrs Claus somewhere in the pack. The chapter has outlived the shop it was named for: Tom and Lucy McTamney sold Liberty Harley-Davidson in 2016 after twenty years, and the store on West Milton Avenue trades as Hannum's now, but the chapter kept the Liberty name and the run kept its number. Nobody is credited as the founder; the chapter's own anniversary falls alongside the run's, which puts both at the same vintage. Entry is twenty-five dollars for a rider and fifteen for a passenger, cash, plus one new unwrapped toy for a child from newborn to twenty-one. Stuffed animals are not accepted. Registration opens at ten, the escort leaves at noon sharp, and there is a pasta lunch afterwards. The chapter counted more than seven hundred and fifty bikes in 2024: fifteen flat suburban miles of central New Jersey, filled end to end.
