13TH ANNUAL DEADWOOD 3-WHEELER RALLY

July 10–14, 2027 · Deadwood, South Dakota

About this event

Most Black Hills rallies treat three-wheelers as an afterthought. This one exists because Mike Gustafson decided in 2015 that trike riders deserved those roads to themselves, and by its ninth year it was pulling machines from forty-four states and Canada. Thirteenth running in 2027, hosted by First Gold and the Deadwood Event Complex.

Five days, and the riding is the point: Spearfish Canyon, Vanocker Canyon, the Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, Custer State Park, with longer runs out to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Devils Tower. All of it chosen because it works on three wheels.

Deadwood itself closes ranks around the event. There is a Show 'n' Shine on Main Street, a vendor marketplace, a trike wash, a pie and ice cream social that collects for the local VFW, and on the last night a lit trike parade down the middle of the old gold rush town.

All makes and models, Spyders and Rykers alongside conversions. Two wheels are tolerated but this is not their week.
